Privacy policy
This page explains exactly what this website (web.octopus-networks.com) collects, where it goes, and how to have it deleted. It describes the site as it is configured today.
Who we are
Octopus Networks, Egypt. For anything related to this policy, write to [email protected].
Octopus Seller and Amazon seller data
Our app for Amazon sellers, Octopus Seller, runs on its own address and has its own policy. It covers the Amazon data a seller authorises through Amazon’s Selling Partner API: what we receive, how it is encrypted and isolated, that no buyer personal data is stored, who processes it, how long it is kept and how a seller deletes it. Read it at seller.octopus-networks.com/en/privacy, with the security and data protection page. Security questions: [email protected].
What we collect on this website
We collect only what you type into one of the two forms on this site — the contact form and the demo request form:
- Name and email address (required)
- Phone number and company name (optional)
- Industry, service of interest, preferred contact method, and number of branches
- Your message, and for a demo request, a description of your current systems
- Your explicit consent to be contacted about the enquiry
We do not ask for and do not want passwords, card details or system credentials. Please do not include them in a message.
What happens to it
A submitted form is sent as an email to our business address and is answered by a person. By default the site does not keep a copy of the message in its database. Where a minimal record is enabled for follow-up, it holds only a reference number, the time, the event type, its delivery status and a hashed form of the email address — never the message itself — and it is deleted automatically after the configured retention period.
To limit automated abuse, the form uses a hidden field that humans do not see and a short rate limit that stores a one-way hash of the sending IP address for two minutes. The hash cannot be turned back into an address and is then discarded.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not run advertising or analytics trackers, and it does not profile visitors. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site. Our network provider (Cloudflare) may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site against attacks, and processes the IP address of requests for that purpose.
Third parties
The website is hosted on a server in Germany and delivered through Cloudflare. Enquiry emails are delivered through our business mail provider (Zoho). Optional connections to other systems — for example a CRM, an automation service or an alerting channel — are switched off on this site; if we ever enable one, this page is updated before it is used.
How long we keep enquiries
Enquiry emails stay in our business mailbox for as long as they are useful for the conversation and any resulting work, and are deleted on request.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to [email protected] from the address you used, and we will confirm once it is done.
Changes
If the site starts collecting anything else — analytics, a newsletter, an online payment — this page will say so before that happens.
