About Octopus Networks
We implement systems, then stay responsible for them
Octopus Networks is an Egyptian technology team that installs, integrates and supports the systems a business runs on — ERP and point of sale, automation, networks, servers, cameras and smart controls — as one connected operation rather than separate purchases.
What we actually do
Most of our work starts the same way: a business is already running, the systems it uses do not talk to each other, and nobody can answer a simple operating question with confidence. We map the workflow first, agree what the system must prove, then implement it in stages against real data — not a demo dataset.
We work across the whole stack, because the failure usually sits between the parts: a point of sale that cannot print to the kitchen, a report that disagrees with the cash drawer, a camera that changes its own address, a branch that loses the internet at the worst hour of the day.
How we work
- Discover before quoting. Workflows, people, data, constraints and priorities — written down and agreed.
- Build against the real operation. Real products, real prices, real shifts, real printers.
- Design for failure. Local-first where the internet is unreliable, with explicit behaviour when a device, link or service is down.
- Document and hand over. A system nobody can operate without us is an unfinished system.
- Support after go-live. The first weeks after launch are where the real issues appear, so that is where we stay closest.
What we cover
- Business systems — Odoo ERP, restaurant and retail point of sale, inventory and recipes, purchasing, expenses, employees and attendance, multi-branch reporting.
- Automation and software — scheduled reports and alerts, approvals, integrations and APIs, portals and dashboards, and focused applications built for one operational problem.
- Infrastructure — local and cloud servers, backup and recovery, routers and segmentation, guest and staff networks, remote access, CCTV coverage and monitoring.
- Smart and technical systems — local controls, sensors, monitoring and screens, plus 3D printing and Klipper configuration, tuning and maintenance.
Our software products
Octopus Seller (seller.octopus-networks.com) — a web and phone app for Amazon sellers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE: real profit per order, daily tasks, account health, preparation and invoices, and courier pickups, built on Amazon’s official Selling Partner API. We use it every day on our own Amazon.eg store. Octopus Fit for gyms and CafeOS for cafés and restaurants are our other products.
Who we work with
Cafés and restaurants, gyms and membership businesses, retail and multi-branch operations, service businesses and smart offices, workshops and makers. The common thread is an operation that runs every day and cannot afford a system that only works in theory.
Where we operate
We are based in Egypt and work on site as well as remotely. Implementations run on cloud servers, on local servers inside the business, or on both — chosen by how the business needs to keep working when connectivity is not guaranteed.
